As One School Year Ends, Hope Continues

Dear Friends,

Before the final school bell rings and summer begins, I want to take a moment to reflect on a school year filled with compassion, partnership, and hope.

Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, His Hands and Feet had the privilege of serving more than 1,200 students and approximately 120 families through our Haven of Hope Pantry initiative. These numbers represent far more than statistics. They represent children who received support, families who experienced encouragement, and a community that came together to make a difference.

The end of the school year is often a season of celebration. Students look forward to summer break, families prepare for vacations and activities, and schools recognize the achievements of another year. It is a time to celebrate milestones both big and small.

Yet for some families, summer can also bring uncertainty. The resources and support available during the school year may not always be as accessible during the months ahead.

This reality reminds us why community matters and why our mission remains so important.

As I reflect on this past year, I am filled with gratitude.

Gratitude for the school administrators, counselors, teachers, and staff who partner with us to identify needs and serve students with care.

Gratitude for the volunteers who generously give their time, energy, and talents.

Gratitude for the donors and supporters whose generosity makes our work possible.

And gratitude for every family who has allowed us to walk alongside them during challenging seasons.

Behind every pantry item distributed, every hygiene product provided, and every school supply shared is a story. A story of resilience, perseverance, and hope. It is a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can have a lasting impact.

As we look ahead, our focus now turns to preparing for the upcoming school year. Planning is already underway for our annual Back to School Bash, where we will once again come together as a community to equip students with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

The school year may be ending, but our commitment to serving continues.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Thank you for believing in the power of compassion. Thank you for helping us bring hope to students and families throughout our community.

As one school year ends, hope continues.

Wishing you and your family a safe, joyful, and refreshing summer.

With gratitude,

Ydania Peralta
